I hope everyone had a great summer! I can’t believe how quickly it went by! School is starting again soon and I can’t wait! We had a summer full of swimming, camping and even some beach time!

I am offering Back to School Mini sessions in my home studio. They are 20 minute sessions for $100 and 5 edited photos. Contact me for a time that we are both available. Send your little one back to school with a sweet photo memory.

I am going to post Fall Mini sessions soon too, so keep your eyes peeled for that in the next few days. Slots will go quickly! Please contact me for more information. Fall Minis will be $150 for 10 edited photos.

I’m so honored to receive this award, and I know it’s mostly because I have such great clients! Thank you so much to my Howard County clients who trusted me with their memories, and I hope we can continue the mutual love this year and beyond.

I’ve had so much with the Fall Mini sessions so far! It’s great to see returning clients and new faces. We had our first set of mini session at Lake Elkhorn in Columbia MD.

Can you believe summer is almost over? I know I can’t. I need at least two more months of pool days and beach weather! School is starting soon and that means it’s time for Back to School! I love buying school supplies and new clothes and backpacks and lunch boxes!

Is there someone in your family starting school? I’m offering Back to School Mini sessions!

$75 for 5 photos of your choice from an online gallery. Come to my studio for a 20 minute session, and go home with memories of the first time your kiddos started school.

Spring Blossom Mini Sessions now available!

Spring is coming early this year! I am excited to announce my first set of mini sessions this season!

Limited slots will be available on Saturday March 18th.

The location will be in Howard County and will be chosen closer to the session date based upon the best looking blossoms.

Payment is due at the time of booking to reserve your slot.

First up was this cutie pie.

Girls who read are dangerous!

That was the Facebook post that started it all:

My friend, Krista, posted a picture of her 8 year daughter, Michelle.

She wrote:

“It’s superhero day at school. Michele has been reading the heck out of “I Dissent” and decided to dress as Ruth Bader Ginsburg, because she fights prejudice and injustice.

Girls who read really are dangerous, to unfairness and outmoded inequalities.

*** Edit — the picture made it to RBG! Her assistant emailed me today to ask for our address so Justice Ginsburg could write her a handwritten note. Thank you all for making this happen!”

I shared the photo, most of Krista’s friends shared the photo, then the internet got ahold of it, and it was viral! She was everywhere! She made it all the way to the Supreme Court and the Honorable Ruth Bader Ginsberg herself. Her mom received word that RBG was wants to write Michelle a note! How amazing is that!

As soon as I saw the photo, I wanted to pay it forward to Krista and all the other great moms who empower their girls to read! I offered to take a few photos of her so she could keep the memory forever. We scheduled an outdoor shoot, and on the day we were supposed to meet, there was a freak mini snow storm! Thinking quickly, I took us to the library instead. I think it turned out to be the perfect setting.

I can’t thank my clients enough for an amazing Fall season! I had so much photographing families new and old. This year was very busy for me with multiple bookings each weekend. I spent much time at the local parks taking in the gorgeous fall colors. Luckily, the fall leaves lasted until mid November this year!

After the Fall leaves were gone, I managed to squeeze in a few holiday mini sessions at Gaver farm. The cold weather was upon us, but spirits stayed bright despite the cold weather! A good time was had by all and we managed to capture some great memories.
