Another location that I enjoy is Savage Mill. There is a unique bridge, nature trails, and lovely old buildings on the grounds.

The Bollman Truss Railroad Bridge at Savage Mill is an example of a suspension truss bridge. It is one of the oldest standing iron railroad bridges in the US.

The Savage Mill trail starts here as well and follows the Little Patuxent River. There are many scenic overlooks and paths to the water.

It’s a great place for a family stroll!
