I’ve been lucky enough to have a couple birthday boys visit me this past week.
First up was this cutie pie.
He was all about the balloons! Just look at that smile!
He didn’t love his cake, but he sure looked cute anyway.

Girls who read are dangerous!
That was the Facebook post that started it all:
My friend, Krista, posted a picture of her 8 year daughter, Michelle.
She wrote:
“It’s superhero day at school. Michele has been reading the heck out of “I Dissent” and decided to dress as Ruth Bader Ginsburg, because she fights prejudice and injustice.
Girls who read really are dangerous, to unfairness and outmoded inequalities.

*** Edit — the picture made it to RBG! Her assistant emailed me today to ask for our address so Justice Ginsburg could write her a handwritten note. Thank you all for making this happen!”
I shared the photo, most of Krista’s friends shared the photo, then the internet got ahold of it, and it was viral! She was everywhere! She made it all the way to the Supreme Court and the Honorable Ruth Bader Ginsberg herself. Her mom received word that RBG was wants to write Michelle a note! How amazing is that!
As soon as I saw the photo, I wanted to pay it forward to Krista and all the other great moms who empower their girls to read! I offered to take a few photos of her so she could keep the memory forever. We scheduled an outdoor shoot, and on the day we were supposed to meet, there was a freak mini snow storm! Thinking quickly, I took us to the library instead. I think it turned out to be the perfect setting.

I can’t thank my clients enough for an amazing Fall season! I had so much photographing families new and old. This year was very busy for me with multiple bookings each weekend. I spent much time at the local parks taking in the gorgeous fall colors. Luckily, the fall leaves lasted until mid November this year!

After the Fall leaves were gone, I managed to squeeze in a few holiday mini sessions at Gaver farm. The cold weather was upon us, but spirits stayed bright despite the cold weather! A good time was had by all and we managed to capture some great memories.

Fall is here!
My favorite time of year is finally here! I love the Fall! I’m so excited for the trees to change color, and the air to get cooler, and for bonfires, and S’mores, and pumpkins, and the list goes on!
One of my favorite families was first in line this year to have a Fall photoshoot. We needed to Rockburn park in Howard County to take some pictures. The leaves are almost perfect! But the highlight was definitely running around with these three beauties.

I had a chance to run around some of the cutest kids last week. They gave me a run for my money with energy, that’s for sure! Here are some of the photos from our session.
